They are all there for you to read.lThis is an invaluable reference for Biblical understandingand research.John Wilder is a former Baptist minister and authorof a soon to be published marriage and sexual selfhelp book that has a biblical basis.
All this does is look up words, like you would in a glossary. There are no "Topics", just keywords that look up verses that contain those words without context. For instance look up "Using Artistic Gifts" (I entered a multitude of topics), it yields any verse with the words "Artistic" and/or "Gifts", which really limits the results. It's not going to yield results of those people in the Bible that exhibit superior talents and link to their stories/verses. Context is everything, and unfortunately this did not work well for my line of questioning. Laymen's terms or searches did not yield the results I was hoping for. Your mileage may vary. So sorry.
At last....A Naves topical Bible that comes with a Bible!!!When you click the link on kindle,it jumps you to that point in the Bible.Makes studying a topic a breeze which is what this Tool seems to have been designed for!!Thank God for KJV,The beautiful dynamic and as near to a word for word translation of the Gospel,not a thought for thought translation where the meanings get diluted by someone elses thoughts or views.Stay as close to the original Word of God and pray for guidance and God Himself will lead the way.The Naves is great to find other places in the Bible similar to what your reading(based on the topic)Then one can decide if its relevant to his or her own studies or thoughts.Though the Table of Contents takes you to the letters A-Z where you can quickly find a particular word by turning the page a few times,you can actually just start typing in a word at the bottom of the kindle screen(word search which works on all kindle books) and if you see that word appear in parenthesis,such as [Leviathan]there is a good chance you can click on it and it will take you to that exact place in the Table of Contents,where one more click takes you to the results.
This is not as advertised. I have a Nave's Topical Bible on my shelf & the scriptures are included. This is nothing more than a list of references with no actual scriptures. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I want a refund!!
This topical Bible is a MUST HAVE for anyone serious about doing personal Bible study without using other people's books. You look up a topic of your choice, like "self-delusion" and you will find a host of Bible verses on that topic. Unlike a concordance where you actually are looking for a specific word embedded in a particular verse, a topical Bible allows you to find verses in the Bible that may not have that word in the verse. So if you were to conduct your own study on the subject of self-delusion, for esample, you would look it up like you would in a regular dictionary (it is arranged alphabetically) and then learn the following taken directly from the Nave's Topical Bible, "A characteristic of the wicked, Psa. 49:18. Prosperity frequently leads to, Psa. 30:6; Hos. 12:8; Luke 12:17-19. Obstinate sinners often given up to, Psa. 81:11,12; Hos. 4:17; 2 Thess. 2:10,11." And that excerpt is just the first paragraph. It will continue with "exhibited thinking" and the verses, "Frequently persevered in to the last" and the verses, "Fatal consequences of" and the verses.All students of the Word of God should own a Nave's Topcial Bible. Parents need to equip their children with the ability to use one, also. Bible teachers who do not equip their students with the knowledge of this most basic Bible study tool should be scolded. Our job is to know Him and to make Him known. This book is a fantastic tool to help Bible students get more from their time in God's Word.
Perfect when you're you're learning the Bible for the first time to understand the Bible by topic every verse related to Salvation is under that word salvation I think the new Christians is the first book you should get when it comes to the Bible
Great book...use to sell these door to door for the Southweastern Company back in 1963. I bought two copies...one for my Bible Study and one for a friend. Makes looking things/subjects up easier. It breaks the Bible down into 20,000 different subjects.
This is a book that has been around for a long time so I fully knew what to expect as far as content. I find it to be quite convenient to have this bible online for easy and quick access and the layout of the book in Kindle format works fine for me as long as I use bookmarks. I would have given it a 5-star rating but I couldn't because the format requires that I carefully bookmark the table of contents in order to prevent the need to "fumble around" trying to find the right pages. Once I figured a plan for using the bookmarks to move around, it has worked fine for me. The book gets 5 stars for content but a 3-star rating overall because the format needs to be improved.
Even if you read the Bible on a regular basis, sometimes you--- or I should say I-- need a little help. This is the go-to book when you need scriptures on any subject covered in the Bible. Every subject is there- and where to find it. Great for Bible study teachers and Sunday School teachers. The casual reader might not need it too much, then again-- it can come in handy, so it's a helpful tool to have.
